Then we will be able to select the available Natural wonders like this: From now on we're going to be able to pick wonders in the game setup phase: For instance, starting in a location near Torres del Paine (doubles base terrain yields of all adjacent tiles) is way better than starting near Eye of the Sahara (additional production and science for wonder tiles after the game reaches the Atomic Era.).

This time around the new patch, the Civilization VI August 2020 update, includes a Game Mode that will be free for every single player who has the base game, which was also free in the Epic Store a while ago.Ĭivilization VI's developer team knows that Natural wonders are not always balanced, that is, if you're playing something like multiplayer. In July Firaxis released a new DLC for Civilization VI, the Ethiopia Pack, which included the Secret Societies Game mode, the Diplomatic Quarter district with its buildings and the Ethiopian Civilization.

The update is set to go live on Thursday, August 27. Im just angry, disappointed and totally gob smacked that this even passed Q&A.On the game's youtube channel, Civilization VI's developers team shares insight into the new August 2020 update, which features a menu to pick Natural wonders and a new game mode. I recommend you implement a scaled agile approach.Īnyway.

In my opinion your software development mindset and philosophy needs a structural change. We want our customer to feel as invested in the change we are. I have daily stand up meetings (updates) with my customers and my Product Owner to make sure we are building stuff the customer wants. IF you dont get any buy in the change will be completely rejected every day of the week. The customer needs to buy into the change from the start. Our design approach has always been to deliver value to the customer. Stop thinking “its my way or the highway” I have never seen a game like this where developers dont even consider that they could be wrong or that their ideas need significant change before they can be viable. I hope you guys stop with the immense tunnel vision and instead adapt to a situation. Like just about everyone else I hope this is just rolled back. I get you want more money but this feels like you are killing the golden goose rather than trying to increase egg production so you can sell more eggs.

I play this game to have fun, relax and unwind. If its a lag fest now with no activity then what happens when fights start and people cant defend their castles? People spent years buying and conquering castles and this entire dynamic is thrown on its head.īig increase in access castles means more time in atlas but I dont want this game to be a full time job. Vs say this screenshot of an old game (10 years old) Civilization which also uses a hex map.Īnd the players were right.

Why does it look so horrid compared to the stunning 3D main game world? The graphics remind me of my commodore 64 from 25 years ago. Why does it just look so ugly and un-inviting to play in Atlas now? I mean atlas team has worked on this for a year with heaps of delays. Atlas could look amazong - a world with forests, lakes and rivers. Instead it looks like some young kids splashed excessively bright colours on a blob. I was expecting a cool fun and visually stunning world. Zooming in and out lags atlas out and crashes the game. Prims take ages to load onto the castle in which they are stationed. Some castles are right on top of each other. The new zones are very messy and confusing. Others are split up into 4-5 separate areas. The promised 4:1:1 ratio was not delivered. The old map looked like a map that I would expect to see in the front page of a new fantasy novel. At least the old map looked like a real world with a coastline.
